The 2025 NFL Draft got underway in fun fashion on Thursday night.
The Tennessee Titans kicked things off, drafting Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick before the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns completed a blockbuster trade for the second overall pick. The Jaguars traded up for the second overall pick for a handful of other picks to draft Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter.
He will play both sides of the ball during his NFL career and was arguably the top player in the draft.
After that, the run on Michigan players began, with three Michigan players being selected in the top 13 of the draft. Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham was the first Michigan player to be drafted when the Browns selected him with the fifth overall pick.
Tight end Colston Loveland went tenth overall to the Chicago Bears before defensive tackle Kenneth Grant was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th overall pick.
DT Kenneth Grant becomes the third Michigan player to go in the first 13 picks, landing with the Dolphins at the No. 13th overall selection.

Even though the Wolverines only won eight games last season, they still had some of the top players in the country, and fans are seeing that with the start of the 2025 NFL Draft.
All three of Graham, Loveland, and Grant are projected to be difference-makers in the NFL. Graham finished the 2024 season with 46 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, and one pass defended.
Loveland finished the 2024 season with 56 receptions for 582 yards and five touchdowns after compiling 45 receptions for 649 yards and four touchdowns in 2023.
Grant finished the 2024 season with 32 tackles, five passes defended, and three sacks. Time will tell if more Michigan players go in the rest of the first round.
You can watch the first round of the draft on ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network.
