Michigan head coach Dusty May weighs in on Sherrone Moore incident

December 16, 2025 by Zags Blog

By JAMES MADDEN

It’s been five days since Michigan announced the firing of its head football coach, Sherrone Moore.. With the Wolverines still searching for their next head coach, Michigan basketball head coach Dusty May weighed in on the situation.

“There were, obviously, some poor decisions made across the board. It is what it is. Everyone involved is a human being, and every decision impacts other human beings,” May said. “And so, I pray for families that are impacted and their lives, and their children are impacted. I don’t really have anything other than to say that.”

May – whose team is currently ranked No. 2 in the AP Top 25, encouraged fans to try and make positive impacts on others everyday.

“I don’t have the solutions for the world’s problems, but man, if we just all just tried to be better human beings and better world civilians and whatnot, I think we’d all have a much greater impact. That’s really about it,” he said.

With the Wolverines 10-0 this season, they will return to the floor on Saturday against La Salle.
