Senior Jordan Hobbs also got an honorable mention on both All-Big Ten ballots. Freshman point guard Mila Holloway also received an honorable mention by the media.

Olson (16.0 points, 5.3 rebounds per game) and Swords (15.6 ppg, 6.3 rpg) led the Wolverines in scoring this past season. The pair of talented first-year players, both ranked as five-stars in high school, headlined a 2024 class that was the highest-ranked in program history.

The three freshmen in the starting lineup continued to develop chemistry as the season went along. Michigan’s offense ran like a well-oiled machine when all three were moving the ball and getting involved in the scoring department.

The Wolverines ended the regular season with a 20-9 overall record and an 11-7 Big Ten record, earning the 5-seed in the Big Ten Tournament after beating Illinois in the regular season finale. Aside from the COVID-19 shortened season, Michigan has won 20 games or more every season of Kim Barnes Arico’s 12-year tenure.

The future of this program is bright , as this freshman class continues to develop.

Michigan is firmly in the NCAA Tournament picture, projected to be a 7-seed by Charlie Creme with ESPN , Mark Schindler with The Athletic , and Megan Gauer with Her Hoops Stats . That said, earning a few more big wins in the conference tournament could help the Wolverines jump a seed line or two.

The Wolverines have earned a five-seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Their first game tips off at 2:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 6 against the winner of 13-seed Minnesota vs 12-seed Washington.
