The graduate student from Connecticut was a part of Michigan’s 2021 class and was a three-star recruit coming out of high school. Despite the low ranking, Bennett has managed to play in 28 games over his four years in Ann Arbor, with 25 of those coming over the last two seasons.
In his career at Michigan, Bennett has totaled six tackles, one tackle for loss and a blocked punt against Minnesota last season.
After the Graham sack, Minnesota punts.
Michigan must’ve seen something on tape because they crowd the right side of Minne’s line.

The edge position at Michigan is always as deep as any in the country. Derrick Moore and TJ Guy are expected to be the starters in 2025, with Cam Brandt and Dominic Nichols as the first two guys off the bench. It makes total sense for a guy like Bennett — who already has his degree from Michigan — to try and find legitimate playing time somewhere else for his final year of college eligibility.
We wish Bennett all the best at his next college football home.
