Following it’s National Championship victory on Monday night, FanDuel has projected Ohio State as nearly a double-digit favorite over Michigan in 2025’s edition of “The Game”:
Ohio State is fresh off a National Championship victory on Monday night, but it’s never too early to start taking a look at the upcoming 2025 season. More specifically, it’s not too early to start thinking about the matchup between Michigan and Ohio State in what should once again be a highly-anticipated version of “The Game.”
The folks at FanDuel appear to be of the same mindset, as they’ve recently released early odds for the game, with the Buckeyes currently favored by 9.5 points. Additionally, FanDuel has the point total set at 47.5 points.

Of course, this projection is subject to some pretty drastic change as we get closer to the Nov. 29 kickoff date. Both Michigan and Ohio State’s rosters figure to be much different from the ones we saw on the field in Columbus for Michigan’s 13-10 victory two months ago. Michigan was a three-touchdown underdog in that game but still pulled off the upset to at least partially spoil what was otherwise a great season for the Buckeyes.
The Buckeyes will be losing a host of seniors to the NFL Draft , including Will Howard, Emeka Egbuka, Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau, among others. Meanwhile, Michigan will be relying on a slew of underclassmen and transfers to take the team a step forward in 2025. The offense — Michigan’s Achilles Heel in 2024 — should be much improved with either Mikey Keene or Bryce Underwood at quarterback, as well as new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey pulling the strings.
Nevertheless, it should once again be a close game when the teams square off in Ann Arbor as the Wolverines look to make it five straight victories over their rivals.
