The Michigan Wolverines will be well-represented at this week’s NFL Combine and historically so.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the defending national champs are sending 18 players to the combine this year. As he notes, that’s the highest number of potential draftees any program has sent to the event in at least 20 years.
Here’s a list of the Big Blue players who will be testing in Indy:
- TE AJ Barner
- OL Karsen Barnhart
- LB Michael Barrett
- LB Junior Colson
- RB Blake Corum
- LB Jaylen Harrell
- OL LaDarius Henderson
- DL Kris Jenkins
- WR Cornelius Johnson
- OL Trente Jones
- OL Trevor Keegan
- QB J.J. McCarthy
- LB Braiden McGregor
- OL Drake Nugent
- DB Mike Sainristil
- DB Josh Wallace
- WR Roman Wilson
- OL Zak Zinter
There’s a reason the Wolverines were the best team in college football wire-to-wire in 2023. Michigan boasted talent across the board and had one of the best coaches in the sport leading the way (even when he wasn’t physically there).
Now with 18 players on to the next level and Jim Harbaugh in Los Angeles, things are going to change in Ann Arbor. But the impact last year’s UM squad had will continue to be felt for years to come in the NFL.
