Starting today, Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines will be hosting one of the top recruits in the country on an official visit: 2026 four-star defensive lineman Deuce Geralds .
The Top-100 overall prospect hails from the state of Georgia and is a big body along the interior of the defensive line at 6-foot-2.5 and 265 pounds. Last season at Collins Hill High School, Geralds recorded a staggering 114 total tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 36 quarterback hurries and 13 sacks. He also deflected two passes and forced one fumble.
Geralds has taken other official visits this month to Oregon, LSU and Ole Miss, and he will be in Columbus this weekend to visit Ohio State. He has visited those other schools far more than he has been in Ann Arbor — he’s only been to Michigan one other time, earlier this spring — but perhaps Michigan can make him feel extra special this week considering there won’t be any other recruits on campus at the same time.
The Wolverines currently have three players along the defensive line committed to their 2026 class in four-star edge McHale Blade, four-star interior lineman Alister Vallejo and three-star edge Tariq Boney. Adding a versatile player like Geralds would be the icing on top of the cake for Lou Esposito and company in this class.
Other defensive linemen Michigan continue to recruit include four-star edge Carter Meadows, four-star edge Trenton Henderson, four-star edge Julian Walker, four-star edge Jackson Ford, four-star interior Titan Davis, four-star interior Damari Simeon and three-star interior JJ Finch.
We’ll keep you updated on this recruitment and many more as official visit season comes to a close after this weekend.
