In the latest On3 recruiting rankings update earlier this week, Michigan four-star CB commit Brody Jennings earned a HUGE boost in the rankings:
Cornerback Brody Jennings was once a relative unknown in the 2026 class. He committed to the Michigan Wolverines out of the blue last July, and despite scheduling other visits and listening to other teams — particularly down south, with Georgia, Alabama, Miami and others offering him recently — he has remained committed to Michigan ever since.
But after On3’s updated rankings for the 2026 class earlier this week, Jennings is officially no longer an unknown recruit. The 6-foot-1, 165-pounder from Jacksonville moved up a whopping 135 spots — from No. 265 to No. 130 overall.

With the update, Jennings is still Michigan’s top ranked commit (No. 260 overall on 247Sports’ composite), ahead of three-star wide receiver Jaylen Pile (No. 587 overall).
It is going to be a fight for LaMar Morgan and company to hang onto Jennings’ commitment. As mentioned above, schools like Miami, Alabama, Georgia and others are hot on his tail, and given the close proximity he has to those schools, it isn’t difficult for him to visit those schools any given weekend.
However, his relationship with Morgan and the program sending players at his position to the NFL are big reasons why he committed to Michigan in the first place.
“I love Michigan,” Jennings told On3 in January. “It’s a great spot for me. They love me too. That’s part of why I committed. I’m going to visit other schools, but I’m still 1,000 percent locked in with Michigan.
“I’m taking it all in,” he said in a follow-up interview with On3’s EJ Holland . “I’m building relationships with other coaches, but my strongest relationships are still with coach (Sherrone) Moore and coach (LaMar) Morgan. I’m going to play at a high level, and if others want to offer me, I’m grateful. But I’m locked in with Michigan. I’m 100 percent Michigan.”
Whether he stays committed and signs with Michigan remains to be seen — there are 10 months until the early signing period, after all — but he’s saying all the right things despite taking other visits and keeping his options open. Hopefully the Wolverines can hang onto him and build upon their star-studded 2025 class of defensive backs.
