McBurrows came to Ann Arbor as a four-star recruit in the class of 2021, and he found success pretty early in his career. As a freshman, he played four games and racked up two tackles and a pass breakup. However, an injury at the end of the season in the Orange Bowl against Georgia forced him to miss the entire 2022 season.
He came back in 2023 and played in 11 games, compiling seven tackles, two tackles for loss and an interception. However, he had another injury-filled season as a senior in 2024 and only managed to play the first four games. McBurrows never returned after the USC game in September.
McBurrows will have two years of eligibility remaining at whichever school he chooses to transfer to.
While it didn’t exactly work out in Ann Arbor, we wish McBurrows the very best of luck at his next college football destination.
