Michigan has announced a big change to Michigan Stadium for the upcoming 2024 college football season.
The school is implementing alcohol sales at Michigan Stadium beginning this season. It comes after the school reviewed previous alcohol sale rollouts and fan experiences.
The Michigan Board of Regents voted for a Class C liquor license and it will start on Aug. 31.
This means that fans will able to drink an alcoholic beverage while watching Michigan try and win its home games.
Michigan will have some good home games this upcoming season, including on Sept. 7 against Texas. That will be a matchup between two of the teams that made the College Football Playoff this past season.
The Wolverines will also take on the USC Trojans at home as they’re entering their first season in the Big Ten. They’re also going to host the Michigan State Spartans in their annual rivalry game and the Oregon Ducks as the latter is also playing in the Big Ten for the first time.
Michigan is coming off a 2023 national title after beating the Washington Huskies in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
