The Wolverines add another player from the portal.
Announced on Thursday morning on his social media, former Northwestern offensive lineman Josh Priebe has committed to the Michigan Wolverines out of the transfer portal.

Priebe has been a Wildcat the past four seasons. He played in eight out of nine games as a true freshman in 2020, and then followed that up with starting and appearing in nine games as a sophomore in 2021, seven starts (eight appearances) in 2022. As a captain in 2023, he started all 12 games at left guard, earning All-Big Ten Third-Team honors in the process.
The Edwardsburg, Michigan native was a three-star prospect in the 2020 class, grading out as the No. 435 overall player and the No. 20 offensive guard, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. The Wolverines mildly recruited him initially, but he had other offers coming out of high school from Ohio State , Michigan State , Nebraska, Auburn, Miami, Tennessee and more.
At 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds, Priebe is an interior offensive lineman all the way, which is great since Michigan will be losing all of its interior offensive linemen after the season in left guard Trevor Keegan, center Drake Nugent and right guard Zak Zinter. All three of those guys will be headed to the NFL Draft , leaving a major void for the Wolverines. But now with Priebe in the fold, the Wolverines will have another experienced body to go along with other interior linemen like Giovanni El-Hadi, Greg Crippen and Raheem Anderson.
Priebe is the second player to commit to Michigan out of the transfer portal so far this winter, joining former Maryland linebacker Jaishawn Barham .
