Mason Graham was ‘getting called nonstop’ by prank callers during NFL Draft

According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, former Michigan and new Cleveland Browns DT Mason Graham and his new teammate, QB Shedeur Sanders, have something in common — they both received prank calls during the 2025 NFL Draft:

Former Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham and former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders now have two things in common: 1) They both play for the Cleveland Browns , and 2) They both received prank calls during the 2025 NFL Draft .

Graham’s father, Allen, confirmed with the Detroit Free Press on Monday that his son, the No. 5 overall pick in the draft, was the target of several fake phone calls during his brief time in the draft’s green room in Green Bay.

“Yeah — that happened,” Graham’s father said. “Someone made a TikTok while crank calling him and showed his number on the video … his phone was getting called nonstop.”

Fortunately for Graham, any call that would have garnered a reaction was short-lived as the All-American quickly had his NFL dreams realized as a top-five pick. The same cannot be said for his new teammate, who also received several prank calls over the weekend.

Sanders was discussed more than any other player during the NFL Draft due to his historic and unprecedented slide into the fifth round. The prank-calling of Sanders went viral over the weekend and eventually led to a brief investigation. A few hours later, it was discovered the perpetrator was the 21-year-old son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.

The Graham family has yet to identify who the caller(s) were to Mason on draft night, and it is unclear whether an investigation will follow. At this point, it appears both Graham and Sanders are ready to focus on football and less on phone calls.
