Four-star recruit Justin Pippen, the son of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen, is taking his talents to Ann Arbor for the 2024-25 season.
During an interview with 247Sports, Pippen announced his commitment to Michigan.
This wasn’t an easy decision for Pippen, who was also considering Cal, Florida, Stanford and Texas A&M. Nonetheless, he’s very confident that Michigan will help him develop into an NBA player.
“I chose Michigan because my long-term goal is to make the NBA,” Pippen told On3. “Michigan is great for my development and playing on that big of a stage in that conference is great for me.”
Obviously, this is a huge win for Michigan head coach Dusty May, who met with Pippen last weekend.
Pippen told 247Sports that May expects him to make an immediate impact for the Wolverines next season.
“He showed me a lot of hospitality and gave me good pitches,” Pippen said . “They see me coming in as a player who can make an impact on the floor right away.”
Pippen is the No. 62 overall recruit in the 2024 class, per 247Sports .
Time will tell if Pippen made the right decision choosing Michigan over Cal and the rest of the field.
