After leading the Michigan Wolverines to a national championship on Monday night, Jim Harbaugh made a strong declaration about the integrity of his program.
During his last postgame press conference of the season, Harbaugh said Michigan is innocent despite all the sign-stealing allegations.
“The off-the-field issues, we’re innocent,” Harbaugh told reporters. “We stood strong and tall because we knew we were innocent. And I’d like to point that out. And these guys are innocent. And overcome that, it wasn’t that hard because we knew we were innocent. So yeah, that’s really what I wanted to say. It went exactly how we wanted it to go. It went exactly how we wanted it to go.”
These comments from Harbaugh aren’t exactly sitting well with the college football community.

Former Michigan analyst Connor Stalions resigned from his role with the team earlier this season. Linebackers coach Chris Partridge also left in the middle of the Wolverines’ campaign.
Harbaugh, meanwhile, was suspended for the final three games of the regular season.
Even though Harbaugh believes Michigan is innocent, the past few months seem to indicate there was something suspect happening behind the scenes.
Nonetheless, Harbaugh has earned the right to celebrate this achievement with his squad.
