Former Michigan WR Tyler Morris — who transferred to Indiana this offseason — reportedly suffered a non-contact knee injury and is out for the 2025 season:

The Michigan Wolverines lost a number of players this offseason to the transfer portal, with one of the more surprising ones being wide receiver Tyler Morris. The senior from Illinois decided to take his talents to Indiana for his senior year, but now that is being put on hold.

Announced by Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti on Tuesday, Morris suffered a non-contact knee injury that will require surgery. Morris is out for the year.

Morris entered the portal back on Dec. 3 and transferred to Indiana about a month later. He was Michigan’s most productive wide receiver this past season — which isn’t saying a whole lot — catching 23 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns.

However, his biggest moment as a Wolverine came in the Rose Bowl vs. Alabama, taking a J.J. McCarthy pass 38 yards for a pivotal touchdown against the Tide.

This is really unfortunate news, and news that you hate to read about. It’s unclear which knee he injured, but he did suffer a torn ACL during his senior year of high school. Hopefully it isn’t the same knee and won’t be a problem for him again once he recovers.

It sucks to see any player get injured, but especially a former Wolverine that was always a good guy to the media. We wish Morris all the best in his recovery and hope to see him on the field again sooner rather than later.
