The 6-seed Michigan Wolverines face off against the 3-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish with a trip to the Sweet Sixteen on the line. Here’s how to watch the game today:

For the first time this season, the Michigan women’s basketball team will be playing on ABC.

The 6-seed Michigan Wolverines are set to take on the 3-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish this afternoon in South Bend, with a trip to the Sweet Sixteen on the line.

Michigan Wolverines vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish

  • Day: Sunday, March 23, 2025
  • TV: ABC, watch live March Madness game with SlingTV
  • Time: 1 p.m. EST
  • Location: Purcell Pavillion
  • FanDuel Odds : Notre Dame -14.5

This will be one of Michigan’s toughest tests all season long. Led by Niele Ivey, the Fighting Irish finished the regular season ranked eighth in the AP Poll. They picked up impressive non-conference wins over USC, Texas and UConn — all ranked in the top-five at the time — and finished first in the ACC with a 27-5 record.

The Wolverines are coming off a Round of 64 victory over Iowa State, where senior Jordan Hobbs led the Wolverines with a career-high 28 points . Senior Greta Kampschroeder and freshman Olivia Olson and Mila Holloway also made huge shots in that fourth quarter to seal the victory.

With the Wolverines, head coach Kim Barnes Arico is 2-4 in the Round of 32. This is a tough hill to climb playing in enemy territory against one of the top guards in the country in Hannah Hidalgo, averaging 24.2 points per game (fourth in the country). But a Michigan squad with three freshmen in the starting lineup proved the brights aren’t too bright in the tournament.
