Michigan hosts Maryland tonight (6:30 p.m., BTN) in its last home game of the season. The Wolverines can secure a top-two finish in the Big Ten with a win, and keep their title hopes alive headed into the season finale at Michigan State on Sunday.
Maryland’s Big Ten title dream was over when Michigan State escaped College Park with a buzzer-beating heave, but the Terps are still in the thick of a multi-team battle to secure a double-bye in next week’s Big Ten Tournament.
It’s a late-season matchup of two teams with identical 22-7 records trying to put some late-season disappointment behind them and finish on a high note as the calendar shifts toward the postseason. It’ll also be a high-profile showdown of two of the most unique post prospects projected in this year’s NBA Draft: Michigan’s Danny Wolf against Maryland’s Derik Queen.
