Dusty May’s first journey through the Big Ten is hitting on all of the classics. I wrote in the preview that this isn’t a vintage Rutgers team on defense, but Saturday afternoon was a vintage experience at the RAC.
Michigan has won several games in Piscataway over the years, but I can’t remember one that was aesthetically pleasing or enjoyable. Go ahead and add this 66-63 win to the pile.
The Wolverines turned it over too much, struggled on the glass, and never led by double digits, but they picked up their fourth Big Ten road win. The victory was a grind, but Michigan led for 32 minutes in a hostile venue to move to 16-5 (8-2 Big Ten) and keep things moving in the right direction.
