Michigan heads on the road at Purdue tonight (8:00 p.m., FOX) for its toughest test yet. The Boilermakers are the No. 9 team in the country, per KenPom, and sit at 15-5 (7-2 Big Ten) on the season despite facing the third-toughest schedule in college basketball.
Despite a shocking home defeat to Ohio State on Tuesday, Purdue has been one of the best teams in the country when it plays at Mackey Arena. The loss to Ohio State was the program’s first home defeat since 2023.
The Boilermakers have arguably the best point guard in the country in 6-foot junior Braden Smith, and another potential All-Big Ten player in Trey Kaufman-Renn. Their two-man game is the most prolific in the country, with Smith’s 71 assists to Kaufman-Renn leading every duo in the sport.
