Four-star WR commit Andrew Marsh was in town for the MSU game on Saturday, but he was also doing some recruiting on Friday night. He spoke with Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider about how he’d ‘love’ to have Bryce Underwood commit to Michigan:
The visitor list for the Michigan vs. Michigan State game over the weekend featured a ton of highly ranked prospects spanning from the 2025 class to the 2027 class. Among the most key pieces already committed to the Wolverines’ 2025 class that was in town is four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh . The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder from Katy, Texas made the trip up north for the weekend festivities.
But it wasn’t all fun and games for him. He put on his recruiting hat and went to work on Friday night, attending the Belleville vs. Howell football game to make his presence known for five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood , who is committed to LSU .

Marsh made his way to The Michigan Insider’s pregame tailgate radio show along with 2025 four-star cornerback Shamari Earls — who is committed to Georgia but now has multiple flip predictions in favor of the Wolverines — to talk about his recruiting efforts for other players in the class.
When asked by Sam Webb who the guys are that he is going to be recruiting the hardest down the stretch, Marsh spilled the tea on two guys that every Michigan recruiting follower has been speculating on over the past week or so.
“Definitely gotta have my guy (Earls),” Marsh said . “We’ve been talking behind the scenes so he know how I feel about him. Like you said, I was over watching Bryce (Underwood) last night. That’s definitely another guy I would love to have join us. Derek Meadows would be a great pick up for us, too, I feel like that would really help us. Really, those are my top three.”
Underwood is not only the top ranked quarterback, but also the No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports’ composite . He has been committed to LSU since January and has held firm on that commitment ever since. It’s been widely speculated that he was in Ann Arbor for the MSU game on Saturday, but no one has confirmed that up to this point.
Meanwhile, Meadows was one of Michigan’s top targets at the wide receiver position before he committed to LSU back in July. A top-100 player from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Meadows is a big-bodied player at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds. He and Marsh would have a legitimate opportunity to play significant snaps as true freshmen for the Wolverines next season, and perhaps even catch passes from Underwood if he were to flip as well.
How will this all go for Michigan? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain — Sherrone Moore and company aren’t going down without a fight.
