For the first time in almost a year, Michigan lands a commitment for the 2021 class
In the current sports desert we’re all living through right now, Michigan football has given us something to cheer about with the commitment of four-star interior offensive lineman Greg Crippen , who committed late on Wednesday afternoon.
As his commitment statement says, Michigan has been on Crippen since he was a freshman at Milton Academy in Massachusetts. Their doggedness persisted through a commitment to Notre Dame that he backed off of last month and a move to IMG Academy in Florida as a junior.
After he committed to the Irish almost exactly a year ago, Crippen made a surprise visit to Michigan’s opener against Middle Tennessee State last season. Since that visit, his decommitment was expected for a long time, and eventually Michigan swung the tides in their favor to land him in spite of a suspension of recruiting activities.
Crippen is listed as 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds. While his 247Sports profile has him as a guard, he will likely start off at center for the Wolverines and currently plays that position for IMG Academy.
