Last week, we asked Michigan fans how many wins they believe the Wolverines will have for the rest of the regular season. Here’s a look at the results.

The poll was conducted before Michigan’s wins over Oregon (80-76) and Indiana (70-67) and the Wolverines now have eight regular season games remaining.
62% of those surveyed believe Michigan, including the wins over Oregon and IU, will have six or seven wins the rest of the way, with 21% believing the total will be four or five wins, and 17% thinking eight or more wins are attainable.
Michigan’s now ranked No. 20 in the nation with an 18-5 overall record while going 10-2 in Big Ten Conference action.
Here’s a look at Michigan’s remaining schedule and their probability of winning each matchup, per ESPN Analytics.
- 2/11 vs No. 7 Purdue: 53% chance of winning
- 2/16 at Ohio State: 40.8% chance of winning
- 2/21 vs No. 11 Michigan State: 57.2% chance of winning
- 2/24 at Nebraska: 51% chance of winning
- 2/27 vs Rutgers: 83.9% chance of winning
- 3/2 vs Illinois: 56.1% chance of winning
- 3/5 vs No. 25 Maryland: 59.6% chance of winning
- 3/9 at No. 11 Michigan State: 31.5% chance of winning
Michigan are underdogs in two of their remaining games, both of which are on the road, versus Ohio State and Michigan State. There are other games such as Purdue (53%) and Nebraska (51%) that the Wolverines may be favored but the percentages are still a tossup. Even so, Michigan has been hot lately, winning four straight and finding ways to be on the right side of close games.
Michigan’s next four games will be particularly challenging with two home games against ranked teams in No. 7 Purdue and No. 11 Michigan State and road matchups against Ohio State and Nebraska. How Michigan fares during this stretch could greatly influence if they have momentum heading into their remaining contests in March before the Big Ten Tournament gets underway.
