Adam Schefter dipped into the college hoops world with some huge transfer news ahead of next week’s NFL Draft.
According to the ESPN insider, Dusty May and the Michigan Wolverines were able to land a huge portal addition out of the Ivy League.
“Former Yale C Danny Wolf has committed to play for Michigan and Coach Dusty May. Wolf averaged 14.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 blocks per game while leading Yale to the round of 32,” Schefter reported.
Adding, “Major portal recruit, he had a multitude of options, but he wanted to play at Michigan.”
Wolf was considered by many to be a top-20 player in the portal thanks to his excellent sophomore campaign.
The 7-footer out of Glencoe, Illinois was a force for the Bulldogs all season long and contributed 13 points to Yale’s Round 1 upset of the Auburn Tigers in the NCAA Tournament.
This news comes after Michigan was able to land a commitment from four-star shooting guard Justin Pippen, son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen.
Both are really good gets for a Wolverines program looking to turn things around in 2024-25. Moves like these will lay the groundwork for a nice bounce back for Big Blue in the year to come.
