Colin Cowherd isn’t pleased with the way the NCAA is treating former Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh. The prominent radio host for FS1 made his feelings on the situation known this week.
It’s been heavily reported this month that Michigan is waiting for a notice of allegations from the NCAA. This stems around the sign-stealing scheme that Connor Stalions allegedly created.
Even though Harbaugh is now the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, the NCAA continues to take aim at him and his staff. That isn’t sitting well with Cowherd.
“This is a witch hunt,” Cowherd said . “There is nothing in this ruling, nothing, that proves Harbaugh knew any of it. He’s being punished, honestly, because he said, ‘No, you can’t have my cell phone. No.’ It’s nonsense. That’s what he’s in trouble for. The other part of the draft that I found interesting, it says he did not identify ‘possible red flags.’ I didn’t know he was the Director of Internal Affairs at Michigan. I thought he was the football coach. What a joke.”
Cowherd also mocked the NCAA for saying Harbaugh could face show-cause restriction if he returns to college football.
“Uh, he’s not,” Cowherd replied. “He’s gonna go win Super Bowls for the Chargers.”

Harbaugh was asked about the allegations surrounding Michigan this week. His response was quite telling.
“No one’s perfect. If you stumble, you apologize and you make it right,” Harbaugh said . “Today, I do not apologize. I did not participate, was not aware nor complicit in those said allegations. So for me, it’s back to work and attacking with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.”
If Harbaugh has success with the Chargers, he won’t have to worry about going back to college football. He’d basically be untouchable, which would then drive the NCAA nuts.
