True freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood played the entire game for the Blue team in Michigan’s spring game. Underwood, the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2025 class, showed his potential and also showed he has room for improvement. After all, he’s still just 17 years old.
Since the spring game won’t be on television until next week we decided to chart all of Underwood’s therows throughout the afternoon.
Underwood’s spring game
- Completed a screen pass for a three-yard loss 1-of-1
- Incomplete pass on an out route to T.J. Metcalf 1-of-2
- Incomplete pass deep to Channing Goodwin. overthrown, but probably a good thing it was, Goodwin was double covered 1-of-3
- Underwood rolls out to the right and takes the check down to Justice Haynes for four yards. 2-of-4
- Underwood throws deep left to Channing Goodwin again. The ball lands out of bounds by a wide margin. 2-of-5
- Underwood throws to Channing Goodwin on a curl. Well-timed and on the money for an 11-yard gain. 3-of-6
- Underwood hits Goodwin on a curl for the second consecutive play for a 15-yard gain. 4-of-7

- With the ball at the 46, Underwood has Channing Goodwin streaking down the field and it should have been a touchdown, but Underwood overthrows an open Goodwin with the ball sailing out of the back of the end zone. The ball traveled over 60 yards in the air. 12-of-23
