Five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood is one of three future #Michigan Wolverines that made the roster for this year’s Under Armour All-America game, which is set to take place this afternoon:
If you’re one of the lucky people who doesn’t have to work on this lovely Thursday that gets grouped in with the holidays, you can tune in to watch the next crop of college football stars participate in the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game.
Five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood (ranked No. 1 overall on the 247Sports composite), four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng (130th) and three-star offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn (491st) all made this year’s All America roster. It’s unknown at this time if they will be participating, since Underwood and Strayhorn were just in Tampa with the team for the ReliaQuest Bowl, and Owusu-Boateng is reportedly recovering from an injury.
To the pleasant surprise of many Michigan fans, Underwood flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan back in November. He was one of several recruits practicing with the team down in Florida ahead of the ReliaQuest Bowl. As our Andy Bailey broke down in a film review , he fits the mold of the perfect modern quarterback, drawing comparisons to Vince Young and Josh Allen.
Underwood had a legendary high school career at Belleville, starting all four years and winning two state titles. He compiled 12,919 all-purpose yards, including 11,488 passing yards and 179 total touchdowns (152 passing) during his time in high school. As a senior alone, he completed 71.8 percent of his throws for 2,509 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also ran for more than 600 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat abilities.
Meanwhile, Owusu-Boateng signed with Michigan on the opening day of the Early Signing Period, announcing his commitment live on ESPN . He’s the top-ranked linebacker in Michigan’s class and has the tools to develop into a reliable starter for the Wolverines in the future. No stats are available for his senior year, but as a junior in 2023, he had 45 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.
Strayhorn committed to Michigan back in June , coming from IMG Academy just like Owusu-Boateng. Originally from Detroit Catholic Central and an MSU legacy recruit, I mentioned Strayhorn as one of three players I believe will outperform his rankings due to his sheer physicality and sound form. Like Owosu-Boateng, I think Strayhorn will be a key starter in a few short years.
You can watch the game today at 4 p.m. EST on ESPN.
