Brooklyn Nets select Danny Wolf with No. 27 pick in 2025 NBA Draft

June 26, 2025 by UM Hoops

Michigan forward Danny Wolf was selected 27th in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets.

Wolf averaged 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game in his one season at Michigan.

The 7-foot big man was lightly recruited out of high school and chose to attend Yale. He spent two years there, earning All-Ivy League honors in a breakout sophomore year, before transferring to play a foundational role in Dusty May’s first season in Ann Arbor with his skill, size, and playmaking.

Wolf combined with 7-foot-1 center Vlad Goldin, who could hear his name in the second round of the draft, to form one of the best frontcourt duos in college basketball. Wolf was an All-Big Ten Second Team selection and declared for the NBA Draft after helping Michigan to the Sweet Sixteen.

Wolf is the first Michigan player to be selected in the NBA Draft since Jett Howard and Kobe Bufkin were picked in 2023, and the first Wolverine to reach the NBA under Dusty May.
