Three former #Michigan Wolverines are Super Bowl champions, including Brandon Graham, who logged a tackle and pressured Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes several times:
As his 15th season in the NFL came to a close, former Michigan Wolverine Brandon Graham is a Super Bowl champion yet again after the Philadelphia Eagles demolished the Kansas City Chiefs , 40-22.
Graham was initially ruled out for the season after tearing his tricep back in November , but he was able to play for the Eagles in the biggest game of the season. He didn’t explicitly say after the victory that he plans to retire, but he did mention before the season he wanted to play 15 seasons in the NFL. Going out with another Super Bowl ring is a hell of a way to ride off into the sunset if that’s what he ultimately does.
You gotta feel great for Brandon Graham.

As has become tradition for athletes that play their entire career for one team, Graham told reporters he still wants to be part of the organization moving forward.
“Let me tell you: I wanna learn as much as I can. If you want an intern coming in, I wanna learn under Howie (Roseman, Eagles general manager)” Graham said. “We got something special going on. We got the secret sauce.
“I wanna be a part of every little thing. That’s why, even if I am done (playing), I’m not done with this organization. I’m gonna be here somehow, someway. I’m gonna figure out where my place at.”
Graham logged one tackle in the Super Bowl. He was the only former Wolverine to see the field for the Eagles, but fellow Wolverines in guard Trevor Keegan and linebacker Ben VanSumeren also earned Super Bowl rings.
If this is truly it for Graham — and all signs point to that being the case — he’s had an impressive career. After playing for Rich Rodriguez at Michigan, Graham has appeared in 206 games over 15 NFL seasons, racking up 487 tackles, 76.5 sacks and 22 passes defended. He was a Pro Bowler in 2020, and he holds the franchise record in total games played.
It was a hell of a career for Graham, and he’ll forever be beloved in the City of Brotherly Love.
Other notable performances
-Perhaps Cousin Sal jinxed Chiefs defensive end Mike Danna by making him getting a sack the infamous Gary Russell prop on the Bill Simmons Podcast . After picking up a sack against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship , Danna didn’t pick up a sack in the Super Bowl, only logging one tackle.
