Michigan’s a big underdog against No. 1. Oregon. Here’s a look at the betting odds.
While the Michigan Wolverines are coming off a 24-17 rivalry win over Michigan State, their next challenge will be incredibly daunting.
5-3 Michigan will be facing the No. 1 team in the nation, the Oregon Ducks. Oregon, now 8-0 on the year, beat the snot out of Illinois 38-9 on Saturday. Michigan lost to Illinois 21-7 last week.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook , Michigan is currently a 14.5-point underdog against Oregon, with the over/under set at 46.5 points. Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel is currently the Heisman favorite on FanDuel at +230.
Oregon is 2-3 all-time against Michigan but has won the last two matchups, including a 39-7 win back in 2007 at Michigan Stadium. This game will also be played in Ann Arbor, and Michigan will hope history doesn’t repeat itself.
Michigan quarterback Davis Warren is embracing the challenge of playing the No. 1 team.
“Bring ‘em on. Bring the number one team in here,” Warren said . “I know we can handle it. We’re more than capable of taking these guys on.”
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning was Georgia’s defensive coordinator when the Bulldogs beat Michigan 34-11 in the Orange Bowl. Lanning now has a team with aspirations as high as that Georgia team that won the National Championship. Oregon currently has the No. 11 ranked total offense and No. 12 ranked total defense. Michigan on the other hand, has the No. 124 ranked total offense and No. 38 total defense.
