Michigan’s lost two games in a row but are still the favorite against Michigan State. Here’s a look at the betting odds.
The Michigan Wolverines fell out of the AP Top 25 rankings on Sunday afternoon after their 21-7 loss to Illinois on Saturday. The 4-3 Wolverines next tilt is against the rival Michigan State Spartans, who are also 4-3 on the year and are coming off a 32-20 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook , Michigan is the favorite over Michigan State despite the Wolverines losing their last two games. FanDuel Sportsbook currently has Michigan as a 6.5-point favorite. The over/under is 41.5 points.
Michigan has won the last two games in the series, including a 49-0 win in East Lansing last year. Both programs have new head coaches this time around — Sherrone Moore for Michigan and Jonathan Smith for Michigan State. Michigan and MSU are locked at 5-5 in their last ten meetings but Michigan leads things all-time 73-38-5.
This is a huge game for both programs as both fanbases live this rivalry year-round in the state of Michigan, something Michigan tight end Colston Loveland spoke about after the loss to Illinois.
“You know how that rivalry runs,” Loveland said . “Just as important as the other rivalries. State championship. Can’t let that one get away from us.”
