6 Michigan players make PFF’s first 2026 NFL Draft big board

Derrick Moore and Rod Moore are just 2 of the 6 Michigan Wolverines that made the debut 2026 NFL Draft big board from Pro Football Focus (PFF):

The Michigan Wolverines had yet another solid showing at the NFL Draft this season, with seven players getting taken during the three-day event and a few others signing with teams as undrafted free agents.

Michigan remains pretty loaded heading into the 2025 season, at least according to the analytical experts over at Pro Football Focus (PFF). Six Wolverines were included on PFF’s way-too-early 2026 NFL Draft big board . The highest ranked Wolverine is edge rusher Derrick Moore, who slots in at No. 37 overall.

Safety Rod Moore (No. 63) and defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny (No. 66) were also included in PFF’s top-100. The final three Wolverines included on the big board are linebacker Jaishawn Barham (No. 154), running back Justice Haynes (No. 192) and cornerback Jyaire Hill (No. 194).

It’s no surprise to see Derrick Moore as high as he is on PFF’s rankings. The senior finished the year on a major high note in the bowl game against Alabama with four tackles and two sacks. He finished with an overall defensive grade of 78.9. Big things are expected for both he and fifth-year edge rusher TJ Guy in 2025.

Rod Moore, however, is a different story. The fifth-year senior from Ohio missed all of 2024 due to a torn ACL last spring. He has yet to make a full recovery and will not be at a full go until fall camp. It would be a surprise to see him get up to full speed to start the year, so expect Moore to be eased back into the rotation.

Barham has received plenty of hype this offseason, as the current plan is for him to mainly play at linebacker, but also receive some snaps along the edge. He had a quality first year in Ann Arbor with 66 tackles and one sack.

Haynes and Hill both have a ton of talent, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see both climb even higher in the rankings as the year goes on. Haynes transferred over from Alabama, where he accumulated 79 carries for 448 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024. Hill, meanwhile, put up 35 tackles, eight pass breakups, one interception and one sack last fall. Both have a prime opportunity to have breakout seasons in 2025.

Notable Big Ten players include Ohio State safety Caleb Downs (No. 1), Penn State quarterback Drew Allar (No. 17), Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman (No. 19), Penn State cornerback AJ Harris (No. 26), Penn State edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton (No. 29) and Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston (No. 30).
