As the battle for 2026 high school prospects heats up, let’s take a look at some of the most important visiting recruits that have taken place so far this spring for Michigan Football:
Another weekend, another round of top prospects flocking to Ann Arbor for spring visits. Sherrone Moore and his staff hosted some of the best high schoolers in the country as they look to bolster their 2026 class.
Today, we look at the five most important players who have visited the Michigan Wolverines so far this spring.
Four-star RB Javian Osborne
The Wolverines are battling Notre Dame for the dynamic running back from Texas. The program will look to continue its extraordinary running back tradition with transfer Justice Haynes and emerging star Jordan Marshall.
Osborne could very well be another name in that collection. He has drawn Blake Corum comps for his shiftiness and ankle-grabbing jump cuts. Plus, he would be a natural fit in this downhill, north-south rushing attack.

Four-star TE Brock Harris
Harris, one of the consensus top tight ends in the nation, has been a tantalizing prospect for months now. At 6-foot-6, 238 pounds, he has the typical frame and athleticism of this most recent breed of Michigan tight ends. Harris can line up all over the field, whether it be off-tackle and as a contributor in the run game, or out-wide as a mismatch receiver.
Harris is also going to take a year off from football for a mission trip, making him a true 2027 prospect. However, even if that may seem far away, he would make for one of the best additions in any future class. The blue chip has also been linked to Oregon, Georgia, BYU and Utah.
Five-star OL John Turntine III
A powerful 6-foot-3.5, 275-pound interior lineman, Turntine is currently predicted to take his talents to Texas. However, Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome should be doing everything in their power to land him. He is regarded as one of the top interior linemen in his class and would add to an already loaded group.
Guys like Andrew Babalola, Ty Haywood and Avery Gach will lead the 2025 class, with Bear McWhorter at the front of the 2026 efforts. As Moore gains experience as a head coach and recruiter, it will be crucial to routinely pick up top linemen. That is the core of his philosophy, and sticking to your principles is the best way to manufacture success.
There was also this encouraging update on Turntine’s visit:
5 ⭐️ OT John Turntine III could see himself playing for Michigan and is looking to set an official visit following his unofficial visit over the weekend, his father @JohnTurntine tells me

Four-star OL Carter Scruggs
Much like Turntine, Scruggs is a salivating target that would provide toughness and physicality in the trenches. The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder is one of the top players in all of Virginia and one of the more sought-after players by Michigan this cycle.
Penn State, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Georgia are some of the others in the running for Scruggs. However, with the Wolverines devotion to developing talent at the position, they should be near the top of Scruggs’ list.
Four-star DB Chace Calicut
While Calicut may look like a lock for Texas right now, his weekend visit appears to have shifted everything. According to EJ Holland of On3 , the Wolverines are in the top two for the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder from Houston:
“The staff was amazing. The school was amazing… It was perfect. I loved it.”@VCalicut , mother of four-star DB Chace Calicut, goes in-depth on their weekend visit to Michigan, meeting with @CoachLMorgan and much more #GoBlue . https://t.co/EgVaxXZppt pic.twitter.com/pwsErvHAn9

It will be a difficult ask to pluck him from his home state, but this development should get the maize and blue faithful excited. He is very much the modern safety, whether it be man-to-man coverage, zone drops or some sort of nickel-hybrid. He can make plays all over the secondary.
Michigan has already locked in a talented 2026 defensive back, four-star cornerback Brody Jennings , and Calicut would be a phenomenal pairing piece.
