As you probably guessed, Louis is the son of Michigan defensive line coach Lou Esposito.
At 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, Esposito plays football at Saline High School. He attended a camp at Michigan last month — which is where and when he earned his offer from the Wolverines — and got to talk extensively with head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome.
“The conversation with coach Moore was great. Me and coach Newsome met on the field after camp, walked up to his office and then he offered me,” Esposito told 247Sports’ Allen Trieu ($). “…My parents and I were thrilled. I mean, I have been dreaming about this since I was a kid and my parents know that. After this camp I am going to cancel all other camps I planned on going to.”
Other than Michigan, Esposito also earned offers from Louisville, Purdue, Pitt, Temple, Western Michigan, UMass and more. He is ranked No. 510 overall, No. 9 in the state of Michigan and No. 34 among interior offensive linemen in the 2027 class.
