Bellamy has been recruiting Marsh for quite some time now, offering him a scholarship back in Jan. 2023. He has unofficially visited on several occasions, including once this spring and then again for the BBQ at the Big House last month.
In a stunning move, he canceled his official visit to Oklahoma the weekend of June 21 and was a last minute addition to Michigan’s visitor list for Victors Weekend. OU was once considered the leader for him, but after the Sooner took commitments from three other wide receivers, Marsh turned most of his attention to the Wolverines.
Marsh took his aforementioned visit for the BBQ at the Big House in July, and it was a visit that received glowing reviews from his mother.
“They pretty much said ‘hey, this is like home and you guys have been here so many times, so let us know if there are there any questions we can address,’ his mother, Eleanor, told On3’s EJ Holland ($). “It was almost like we were able to lead the visit and set a schedule.”
Other than Michigan and OU, Marsh also had offers from Ohio State , Washington, Penn State, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, USC, Tennessee, Ole Miss , Texas A&M and more.
As a junior last fall, Marsh had 65 receptions for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had 53 catches for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore. In total over his three-year high school career, he has compiled 149 receptions for 2,414 yards and 31 touchdowns.
Marsh is ranked No. 13 in the state of Texas, No. 9 at the wide receiver position and No. 63 overall in his class, per 247Sports’ composite. He is the second wide receiver to commit to the Wolverines in this class, joining four-star Jacob Washington.
