Dusty May is wasting no time on the recruiting trail, bringing in a highly talented Ohio native for a visit.
With the roster nearly set for the 2024-25 season , Michigan men’s basketball head coach Dusty May is wasting no time on the recruiting trail. The Wolverines are reportedly hosting 2025 four-star guard Dorian Jones on an official visit next month, according to Joe Tipton.

Jones posted about the offer Michigan provided him with earlier this month. Tipton also reported that the Cleveland native is visiting with Ohio State this weekend.
On the 247Sports composite , Jones is rated as a four-star shooting guard and is ranked 53rd among 2025 recruits, eighth among players at his position and second among Ohio natives. He’s collected more than a dozen offers , including ones from Rutgers , Penn State, Arizona State , Texas A&M and Miami, among others.
Jones stands at 6-foot-4 and can jump out of the gym, slamming down thunderous dunks jumping off both feet. He’s got a solid handle, runs the break well and finishes effectively through contact. If you give him a little bit of space, he will knock down a three-pointer with a quick shooting stroke.
By the time Jones finishes high school, Michigan will have plenty of young guards on the roster in Justin Pippen , Lorenzo Cason and Durral Brooks . But you can never have too many to build the foundation of your program, so it makes sense why Dusty May and company are going to host him soon.
We’ll keep you updated on the recruitment of Jones and other 2025 players, in what is expected to be a busy summer for the Michigan men’s basketball program.
