Michigan’s career leader in rushing touchdowns is officially in the NFL.
Michigan Wolverines running back Blake Corum was just taken by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft .
Corum’s elevation to the NFL comes after a highly productive season where he served once again as the centerpiece of Michigan’s offensive attack. He was the team’s leading rusher in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons, including 1,245 yards and 27 touchdowns his senior year.
There was some speculation Corum’s ascent to the NFL could’ve come after the 2022 season, where he had a claim to be the nation’s best running back. As a junior, he ran for 1,463 yards and 18 touchdowns, and despite a late-season knee injury, he still managed first-team All-Big Ten Honors and unanimous first-team All-American honors.
With his college career in the books, Corum will leave Michigan with an argument to be the greatest running back in the school’s history. However, there is still more to come for him in the NFL with his new team.
