Michigan’s leading receiver is headed to Pittsburgh.
Michigan Wolverines wide receiver Roman Wilson was just drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Wilson was a four-year letter-winner for the Wolverines, which included 45 appearances and 23 starts. In 2023, the Hawaii native earned second-team All-Big Ten honors (coaches and media) and led the Wolverines in receptions (48), receiving yards (789) and receiving touchdowns (12). His 12 receiving touchdowns were the most by a Michigan player since 2007 and tied for the sixth-most all-time by a player in a single season in program history.
Listed at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, Wilson ran a solid 4.39 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine , but still looked disappointed compared to what he has shown on the field. Wilson is a reliable pass-catcher and savvy route runner who never looks rushed or uncomfortable.
After being selected to X, Wilson will look to have an immediate impact out of the slot as a deceptively fast option who does not let his size take away from his physicality.
