10 Best Big Ten Basketball Transfers 2025/26

10 Best Big Ten Basketball Transfers 2025/26

10. Chad Baker-Mazara

After a long college career, Chad Baker-Mazara has decided to spend his final season in the Big Ten. After being a key piece in an Auburn team that made the Final Four in 2025, Baker-Mazara hopes to be a veteran presence that can help lead USC back to the NCAA Tournament this season.

9. Oscar Cluff

The ninth-best Big Ten basketball transfer comes by way of South Dakota State. Oscar Cluff is a 6-11 big man who will fit right in with Purdue’s system. He averaged 17.6 points per game last year and made the all-summit league defensive team. If he can make the step up to the Big Ten, he will be a great addition to a stacked Boilermakers roster.

8. Desmond Claude

We have the first intra-conference transfer on the list with Desmond Claude , who went from USC to Washington. Claude is a scorer and proved it in the Big Ten last year. He put up over 15 a game with the Trojans and will continue to thrive with offensive genius Danny Sprinkle at the helm.

7. Rodney Rice

After a breakout season at Maryland, Rodney Rice decided to enter the transfer portal after the departure of head coach Kevin Willard . Rice spent his first two seasons at Virginia Tech, but barely saw the court due to injury. He transferred closer to home and blossomed in College Park. He found his role as a three-level scorer and a bit of a sparkplug for the Terps. He also hit a few clutch shots, including a game winner in Bloomington.

6. Andrej Stojokovic

After a solid freshman year at Stanford, Andrej Stojokovic transferred to Cal. While in Berkley, he blossomed into a great scorer, averaging 17.9 points per game as a sophomore. Now he is on the move again and will be landing at Illinois. Over the past few years, Brad Underwood has been utilizing bigger guards to great results. Stojokovic should be no different.

5. Bennet Stirtz

After an incredible season at Drake, Bennett Stirtz has decided to follow head coach Ben McCollum to the University of Iowa. Stirtz put up incredible offensive numbers last year. He averaged 19 points per game and shot nearly 40% from three. If he can even have a fraction of that success, he will push for Big Ten Player of the Year.

4. Tucker Devries

Similarly to Stirtz, Tucker Devries will be following his coach to his new school. This one just so happens to also be his father. Devries also started his career at Drake before transferring to West Virginia last season. Unfortunately, he missed most of the season due to injury. No matter where he goes, Devries is a scorer. He averages 17.7 points per game for his career and is a career 36.7% three-point shooter. He should be able to help an Indiana team that has been struggling for a few seasons.

3. Wesley Yates

After an incredible freshman season at USC, Wesley Yates decided to transfer within the Big Ten to Washington. Yates was a great scorer for the Trojans, particularly from the three-point arc, where he averaged 44% from deep. He will be a valuable asset for Danny Sprinkle in his second season at Washington.

2. Donovan Dent

You can make an argument that Donovan Dent was the best guard in all of mid-major basketball last season. He averaged over 20 points per game for an excellent New Mexico team that beat Marquette in the NCAA Tournament. He now returns to his hometown UCLA Bruins, and hopes to be the spark that reignites the program after a few quiet seasons.

1. Yaxel Lendeborg

The best Big Ten basketball transfer for the 2025/26 season is without a doubt Yaxel Lendeborg . After an incredible two seasons at UAB, Lendeborg entered the transfer portal and the draft. After a very involved draft process, he decided to stay in college for one more season and transfer to Michigan. The incredible two-way player will be a great fit in Dusty May’s system, who has been known for his development of big men.
