What games are coming up this week for the hockey, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball teams?
We had another successful week in the MSU athletic department. Both the women’s and men’s basketball teams won a pair of games last week and the hockey team split a series at ann arbor, losing one game in overtime before rolling over our rivals the next day.
The women’s hoops team moved up one notch in the rankings to #21. For the second consecutive week, the men’s basketball team moved up 4 spots in the AP poll and are now ranked #8. I am still waiting on the new hockey rankings, but I would not be surprised to see MSU fall from the top line due to their loss last week. No worries though, as they have a great opportunity to get right back up to #1 with this coming weekend’s games.
I had some good predictions in last week’s score predictions. I said 4-0 MSU in the second hockey game, and it ended up being 4-1 after an um goal with just over a minute left ruined the shutout. In Sunday’s basketball game against Illinois, I had predicted 82-76; the actual final of 80-78 had the same total points scored.
