The 23-19 Spartans Baseball Team (9-9 in B1G play), are coming off a tough home thumpin’ by Purdue Ft. Wayne after sweeping the Buckeyes in three straight. Coach Boss’s team heads down the road for a three-game matchup vs the corn ‘n blah beginning Friday at 6pm. Games Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 1pm will follow. The matchups will be broadcast on BTN+ with Sunday’s audio also featured on SiriusXM B1G channel 372.

The 14-25 Spartans Softball team (4-12 B1G) will host Iowa for a three-game stand at Seccia Stadium in E.L. beginning Friday at 5pm. The weekend games will begin at 1pm and all three will be watchable on BTN+. If you’re in town, come show the sluggers some love – they need it.

Men’s Golf kicks off their run at the B1G Championships this weekend at Baltimore C.C. in Maryland – sorta home-ish to UMd. The three days of play tee off on Friday morning. Illinois and UCLA are the top seeds.

The 24th-ranked Women’s Golf team is idle until the NCAA Regionals tee off 5th-7th of May when they’ll be headed to Norman, OK as their Region’s 4-seed. Also with them will be #2-seeded Northwestern from the B1G. Stanford is the No. 1 seed, UNC No. 3, and host Oklahoma No. 6. The full selection across the 6 regionals is here . The top 5 teams out of each regional head to the national championships, May 16-21 in Carlsbad, California, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.

Friday afternoon at 4pm the No. 3 seeded Spartan Men’s Tennis team takes on No. 6 seed USC in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. The 15-8 Spartans (10-3 B1G) are now ranked 21st nationally and are coming off a solid win over the skunk bears last Saturday to wrap the regular season. Ozan Baris sits at #13 in the nation and Aristotelis THANOS #39. Matthew Forbes and Max Sheldon barely fell out of the top 100 in singles recently, landing at 102 and 111 in the latest poll.

The 11th-seeded Spartans Women’s Tennis is fighting for their season against the 6th-seeded USC Wednesday evening in the first round of the B1G tourney out in California.

Both Men’s & Women’s Track & Field will be in action on Saturday (the 26th) at Grand Valley as a tune up before heading to the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus, OH May 2nd-3rd.

After the B1G Invitational last weekend in Sarasota, the MSU Women’s Rowing Team will head to Bloomington this weekend for the Dale England Cup. While traditional rowing powerhouse Washington continues to lead the league – MSU’s top 8 (eight-person boat) is currently ranked 6th in the region. The Crew season isn’t expected to wrap until the end of May.

The school year may be winding down, but it’s not over yet – please do tune in and find a way to cheer for our other Spartans as they look to wrap their own seasons on high notes.

Go Green!
