Skyrocketing 4-Star Wing Set to Decide, Two Teams Out in Front

October 18, 2025 by Howard Brubaker

Skyrocketing four-star wing Jasiah Jervis is set to make his college decision soon, and analysts say two teams are out in front. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard/wing has seen his stock soar in recent months. Jervis, who hails from New York state, is down to a top five of Illinois, Michigan State, N.C. State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee.

Two national recruiting analysts say that, at this point, Michigan State and N.C. State are the presumed leaders for Jervis. He has officially visited Michigan State, N.C. State and Pittsburgh. This weekend, Jervis is on a trip to Illinois, followed by an official visit to Tennessee next weekend.

Then Jervis goes into decision-making mode, as he plans to make his commitment announcement on November 5. On Friday, there were no official analyst projections in Jervis’ recruitment. However, both  Jamie Shaw of On3/Rivals and Travis Branham of 247Sports discussed Jervis in separate Friday pieces.

Shaw says that when speaking with his sources, he hears Michigan State’s name come up the most, followed by N.C. State . Branham, meanwhile, said he isn’t ruling out suitors such as Illinois and Tennessee at this juncture, but he added that at this stage, the Spartans and the Wolfpack “are at the top of this list coming down the final stretch” in Jervis’ recruitment.

Four-Star Wing Jasiah Jervis has Jumped in 2026 Rankings

Prior to the most recent AAU season, Jervis wasn’t even nationally ranked by all the primary recruiting services. But his stellar play on the EYBL circuit this spring and summer led to a huge climb for him in the 2026 national rankings. Currently, both the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and Rivals Industry Ranking place Jervis inside the top 40 overall .

The 247Sports recruiting website also rates him as the No. 2 shooting guard and the No. 2 prospect from New York state in the 2026 cycle. The highest national ranking for Jervis comes via Rivals, which slots him at No. 23 overall, No. 6 at his position and No. 2 in New York.

Four-Star Wing Had Breakout Summer

In the latest grassroots hoops season, Jervis was a standout for the 17U team of the New York City-based Renaissance Hoops in Nike’s EYBL league. He averaged 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game, getting named to The Circuit’s All-EYBL second team for the entire AAU campaign.

This past July, the EYBL held its annual season-ending Peach Jam tournament in North Augusta, S.C. Jervis, at the prestigious Peach Jam with college coaches in attendance, averaged 17.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest . He was the key player as Renaissance Hoops advanced to the championship game of the 17U Peach Jam .

Four-Star Wing Eyes All-American Senior Year

Jervis attends Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, N.Y. In the 2024-25 season, the Crusaders went 26-4 overall and were No. 25 in the national rankings from MaxPreps. As a junior, Jervis averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. He was given an All-America honorable mention nod by MaxPreps in 2024-25 .

Looking ahead to the 2025-26 campaign, MaxPreps has Archbishop Stepinac as the preseason No. 5 team in its top-25 rankings of high school programs that compete for state-affiliated titles, as opposed to independent basketball academies and prep-school teams. Whichever college squad that ends up landing Jervis will have secured a significant get in its 2026 class.
