Second big weekend in a row for Jonathan Smith & Co.
After picking up three commitments last week, Michigan State football had another productive haul for the 2026 class over the Father’s Day weekend.
It started on Thursday when MSU picked up 6’-7”, 280 pound 4-star offensive tackle Collin Campbell from Gilbert, AZ. Campbell is the second four star to commit to MSU’s 2026 class.
Michigan State added another offensive lineman on Friday when Quinn Buckey pledged to the Spartans. Buckey is 3-star prospect from California and his father, Jeff, played four seasons in the NFL on the offensive line.
The son of another former NFL player, TJ Umenyiora, kept things going for MSU on Saturday. TJ is the son of Osi Umenyiora, who played 11 seasons in the NFL and won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants.
TJ is 6’-2”, 185 pounds, and a 3-star defensive back from Roswell, GA. He is the #87 cornerback in the 247Sports composite rankings and also took official visits to Northwestern, Mississippi State, and Auburn.
Sunday closed out the weekend with two more commitments from Fameitau Siale and Jordan Vann who are both rated as 3-stars.
Siale, at 6’-4” and 240 pounds, is from Seattle, WA and chose MSU over Washington. He is listed by 247Sports as the #51 edge rusher and #530 overall player for the 2026 class.
Vann, meanwhile, is the #87 safety and was previously committed to Virginia before flipping to MSU on Sunday.
The recruiting momentum then continued past the weekend with 6’-2”, 185 pound, 3-star wide receiver Zachary Washington giving his verbal to the Spartans over Washington, West Virginia, and Indiana. Washington is from Wheaton, IL, is the 21st ranked recruit in the state and #137 wide receiver for the 2026 class per the 247Sports composite rankings.
Michigan State’s 2026 high school commitment list is now up to 17 players, including one preferred walk-on. In addition to Campbell, it’s led by 4-star quarterback Kayd Coffman while the remaining 14 scholarship commits are rated as 3-stars. Here are the Spartans’ commitments for 2026 as of now:
