Chiles is one of the most highly touted quarterbacks in the transfer portal so far this offseason, and after taking an official visit to MSU this past weekend, he’s committed to following his former head coach with the Beavers to East Lansing.
A Downey, California native, Chiles eased his way into Jonathan Smith’s offense in Corvallis, playing a handful of series in each game. Chiles threw for 4 touchdowns, did not throw an interception, and was a dynamic runner, scoring 3 times on the ground.
Justin Thind of 247 Sports and the SD4L Podcast put together a sample of his key plays with the Beavers:
#MichignState fans, welcome to the Aidan Chiles experience. Here’s a 90-sec preview:

For the first time in a long time, MSU has a truly dynamic playmaker lined up at quarterback. Obviously, Chiles is a freshman with limited playing time under his belt, and there are no guarantees in recruiting, but this is absolutely reason for optimism and should be a clear upgrade at the most important position on the field.
