NFL Hands Punishment To Multiple Colts After Season Finale

January 10, 2026 by Heavy

If things were just bad enough for the Indianapolis Colts, who ended the season on a seven-game losing streak, a couple of punishments landed for multiple members of the team.

Players on the Indianapolis squad were fined only four times this season, one of the lowest in the NFL, with all fines being dealt to defensive players.

Members of the Colts squad were fined in weeks 5-6 and weren’t fined until the last week of the season.

Head coach Shane Steichen has his team accounted for in a season where there wasn’t much to be positive about after a strong start to the season. If the team can carry that discipline into the new season, it could shape up the team’s performances for Steichen’s fourth year as the head coach.

The NFL released its final weekly fine list for the 2025-26 regular season, with two members of the Indy defensive line being on the receiving end and being fined more than $14,000.

One of the last fines for the Indianapolis Colts this season was handed to defensive tackle Neville Gallimore , who is on a one-year deal with the organization.

According to the NFL Gameday Accountability portal , Gallimore was fined $7,430 for a facemask in the second quarter against the Houston Texans . The defender put his hands on Texans’ center Jake Andrews , and he took off the center’s helmet in the process of the play.

As mentioned, there were no repeat offenders for the Colts this season, leaving this to be Gallimore’s only fine this season.

The defensive tackle had the best season of his career in his one-year deal with Indianapolis. He played every single game this season, logging in 3.5 sacks, 38 tackles and 3 pass deflections, which are all career highs.

The Colts could bring back Gallimore on a cheap deal and have him as a key rotational piece.

The second member of the Indianapolis Colts squad to be fined was defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore .

The third-year player was fined for a hip-drop tackle in the second quarter against the Texans, which will take out $6,829 out of his pocket.

Similar to Gallimore, Adebawore also had the best season of his career in the 2025-26 season. Adebawore featured in all 17 games for the Colts, registering four sacks and 36 total tackles.

Luckily, for the Colts, the defender is still on his rookie contract and could work to retain him past the 2026 NFL season.

In total, the Colts were fined $32,352 after 18 weeks of football.
