More than 50 NBA scouts expected for Champions Classic

November 7, 2024 by Zags Blog

By ADAM ZAGORIA

More than 50 NBA personnel from all 30 NBA teams have already been credentialed for the Champions Classic on Tuesday in Atlanta, a source close to the event told ZAGSBLOG.

In past years, as many as 75-100 scouts were credentialed and there is still a week to go.

No. 1 Kansas faces Michigan State at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by No. 7 Duke against No. 23 Kentucky at 9 (ESPN).

According to the latest ESPN.com NBA mock draft, Duke features three of the Top 10 projected picks next summer in No. 1 Cooper Flagg, No. 6 Kon Knueppel and No. 8 Khaman Maluach, with Tyrese Proctor at 28.

Cooper Flagg wasn’t born a basketball star. In fact, the nation’s top prospect was lucky to have been born at all

For Kentucky, Koby Brea and Jaxson Robinson are considered NBA prospects.

Kansas and Michigan State don’t have any Top 100 prospects, per ESPN.
