MSU has added a few more names to its football team
Okay, maybe it’s not quite Christmas, but the transfer portal continues to gift new talent to the MSU football team for the first season under new coach Jonathan Smith. In the past week, there have been four players who have chosen to come play for the Green & White.
Marcellius Pulliam, a linebacker from Miami (FL), has selected Michigan State as his next school. Pulliam was a true freshman this past year after coming to the Hurricanes as a three-star recruit. He appeared in ten games as a freshman, playing mostly on special teams.
Also on defense, MSU will add defensive tackle Jalen Satchell. Satchell played for Old Dominion last year and for Temple for two seasons before that. Last year, he recorded 16 tackles and one sack.
Earlier in the week, MSU also landed another DT in Ru’Quan Buckley from Nebraska. Buckley actually played on the offensive and defensive lines for the Huskers last year. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
The Spartans also picked up some help on the edge, getting defensive end Tyler Gillison from Cincinatti. Gillison has three years of eligibility left. If that last name is familiar, that is because he is the younger brother of former Spartan tight end Trenton Gillison from the Dantonio era.
MSU also got some good news for their 2025 class with the commitment of three-star LB DiMari Malone from Dakota H.S. in Macomb, MI.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. And a happy Mother’s Day to any Spartan Moms in our community.
