The Spartans host the Scarlet Knights on Saturday afternoon. Here’s what you need to know.

This is the last game of the regular season and it is Senior Day in East Lansing. Michigan State is in do-or-die mode as they need to win this game to make it to bowl season. The visitors, Rutgers, earned their sixth win two weeks ago over Maryland and are trying to stay above MSU in the conference hierarchy. Can Michigan State get to the postseason in Coach Jonathan Smith’s first season?

Make sure you read Brian’s preview for this game. Here’s everything else you need to know.

Michigan State vs. Rutgers

When: Saturday, November 30 @ 3:30 PM EST

Where: Spartan Stadium; East Lansing, MI

TV: FS1

Radio: Local listings , online or on the app

Betting: MSU -1; over/under 47.5

Predictions:

Mike: 28-27 Spartans. Somehow, MSU gets it done. On to Detroit to beat a MAC team.

Steve: Rutgers makes halftime adjustments and MSU fails to do so yet again. MSU manages to squeak by 17-14.

Brian: I think MSU’s D stands up to the Rutgers offense better than the Rutgers D does to ours. 34-21 Good guys.

O: Temps will be in the 20s. Snow is in the forecast. Game should come down to who can run the ball better. Rutgers is rushing for 173.4 yards per game while MSU is allowing 117.5 yards per game on the ground. MSU is gaining 116.5 yards with their legs while Rutgers gives up 151.5. So I say there is a slight edge to Rutgers in this game… but I can’t predict an MSU loss on senior day, so let’s just say Jonathan Kim eeks out a victory for MSU with a FG as time expires. Spartans win 27-26.

Game thread will open two hours before kickoff.
