Michigan State is hoping to gain some tracting in the Big Ten as they host the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Michigan State is looking to make a statement in the Big Ten as it hosts Minnesota men’s basketball team. The Golden Gophers have a better record than the Spartans, but the SPartans are ranked higher by the metrics.
This is a game where both teams are looking to declare themselves relevant in this year’s chaotic Big Ten.

Some basics to sound like a pro:
Michigan State:
The Spartans have won some big games and lost some big games. Worse, they’ve lost some games they should not have (James Madison, Northwestern, etc.). Still, at home they’ve been tough this year.
Their offense is led by four players in double digits per game and a defense that has stifled some serious opponents.
If Michigan State can shoot the ball well and defend to their abilities this should be a big win for a team in need of many more of those.
Minnesota University
Minnesota was not expected to contend in the Big Ten this year. Yet, in a year where teams keep pulling upsets, their 12-5 overall record and 3-3 conference record shows they are willing to fight it out.
Still, the Gophers most recent losses were to Iowa and Indiana. Neither team is considered a powerhouse this year. The Gophers have a big challenge in front of them with Michigan State hungry for wins.
Predictions:
BBD: 81-69 MSU Win
