Spartan Hockey takes to the ice to begin the NCAA Tournament
The Michigan State Hockey Team has successfully repeated as champions of the Big Ten regular season and tournament. Now they have their sights set on an even bigger prize. Last year, MSU was knocked off in the regional final, costing them a chance to go play in the Frozen Four. This year, Adam Nightingale and his team hope to go all the way and hoist the ultimate trophy. That path begins this evening with their regional semifinal game against Cornell. The Big Red won the ECAC Tournament this year to claim an automatic berth in the tournament.
If the Green & White knockoff the Big Red tonight, they will move onto Sunday’s regional final against the winner of Ohio State and Boston University. The puck will drop on tonight’s game at 5:30 PM ET and will air on ESPN+. All of these games are in Toledo, OH, which is less than a two-hour drive from East Lansing.
Steve Neumann will be in the arena tonight and will have the postgame coverage for you. Come hang out with your TOC friends and cheer on your Spartans Hockey Team.
Go Green! Go White!
