Michigan State looks to continue their recent run of dominance on the road against Spartan killer Boo Buie and the Northwestern wildcats.
The Spartans are on the road against Northwestern. Michigan State men’s basketball team is looking to carry its recent run of dominance into an environment that has been a trap for them in the past.
This game will be the first true road game for the Spartans in almost exactly a month. Their recent run of dominant play has all come at home, or on Spartan friendly neutral courts (Little Cesar’s Arena is essentially home turf for Michigan State).
The Wildcats are led by long time (seriously is this guy still in college?) Spartan killer Boo Buie leads and his backcourt mate Brooks Barnhizer.
Northwestern’s 10 and 3 overall record (1 and 1 in the Big Ten) is a bit misleading. Their wins have mostly come against mid tier teams except for the shocking upset of then number 1 Purdue. In contrast, Northwestern got absolutely rocked by Illinois 96-66 on January 3rd. It will be interesting to see which team shows up against the Spartans today.
Game Time: Sunday, January 7th at 7:30pm (US East Coast Time)

Debate Points/Things to Watch:
- Will Michigan State’s solid play of late travel on the road?
- Does Boo Buie concern you? How happy will you be when he finally leaves college?
- How do you think the Spartans have handled the absence of Jeremy Fears, Jr.?
